RECRUITMENT

Middleport Site Manager
Closing date: Friday 18th May 2012

The Prince’s Regeneration Trust is looking for an experienced Site Manager who can act as their on-site representative at the Middleport Pottery site in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent during the project development and construction period.

The site houses the last operational Victorian pottery in the UK and it is about to undergo extensive restoration and refurbishment. The pottery will be consolidated and the unused buildings developed to provide attractive accommodation for office space, workshops, craft area, a shop, cafe and heritage centre. The pottery will remain in full operation throughout construction.

Flexibility of working, problem solving skills, construction knowledge and a practical and collaborative approach are key requirements in this role.

This is a key job which will be pivotal in ensuring we successfully complete one of our major projects. The site manager will be an integral part of the organisation, working closely with the majority of our staff.

This is a full-time (37.5 hrs/ week) position up until summer 2014, based at Middleport Pottery (Port Street, Middleport, Stoke-on-Trent). Benefits include pension and 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays.

Salary: £25,000-£30,000 depending on experience
